Earlier this year, Wild-Live entered a partnership with a large Chinese company, Vanhang Sailing to set up and deliver a wilderness school in Eastern China operating out of 5+ bases. Each base aims to employ about 10 local instructors and two managers. This summer, we opened our first base in ShenZhen (Close to HongKong). We employed 8 local instructors plus one Chinese & one Western manager and a translator. We had about 200 children attend our week-long survival summer camps.
Now that the summer is over, we've shrunk to 6 instructors and two managers and focus mostly on teaching weekend / day events. We're also developing school sessions and some corporate / adult oriented programs.

We are about to complete a partnership contract with a Chinese company called Vanhang to build a primitive wilderness skills school in China.
Bushcraft skills as an activity are virtually unknown in China, so we are absolutely delighted to be given the chance to spread the skills in such a large territory.

We have a course coming up in Co Wiclow at Carraig Dulra, which will hopefully be blessed with good weather. Also check out our regular evening sessions on the Wednesday. Should you wish to join, then you can, provided we can arrange a seperate session to help you "catch up" with the knowledge of the rest of the group.

The new site continues to be developed. We now have a new calendar, which will allow you to subscribe to certain courses and events provided you use a calendar which supports .ical (Apple iCal, iPhone, MS Outlook, Google Mail to name a few...).
We have also added a number of flash movie/slideshows to our Multimedia page. As we have many images available through a more "regular style gallery" via the course pages, we thought it might be nice to put together some slide-shows instead.
Some issues we're still dealing with are the menu and menu backgrounds not working as expected with Internet Explorer 8.

Well, as you may have noticed, the site has undergone a major transformation. Work is still being done to certain areas, though you should find it is much easier to navigate, less cluttered, and hopefully more informative. Please let us know should you find any bugs or other issues. We are aware that the site doesn't work well with IE7, but as it's virtually obsolete, making it work with IE7 is a lower priority.
